BSU, Binh Duong University mull over cooperation in IT, science

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Belarusian State University (BSU) and Binh Duong University of Vietnam plan to sign an agreement on cooperation in information technology and science, BelTA learnt from the BSU press service.

There parties plan to sign the agreement during a visit of the delegation from the Vietnamese university led by President Cao Van Phuong to Belarusian State University on the 2nd -6th  of October. Cooperation in IT and science is directly connected with BSU prospects of bringing its scientific development, Orto-Expert and  an intellectual decision support system for diagnostics and treatment in sports-related trauma surgery and recreation therapy to the Vietnamese market. The system has been introduced in the national center of sports medicine and was used by the medical service of the Belarusian national team in  preparations for and during the Olympic Games in Beijing.

According to the BSU press service, in February 2013 BSU Rector Sergei Ablameiko paid a visit to Binh Duong University of Vietnam to sign three agreements with Vietnamese counterparts: on opening the Belarusian-Vietnamese scientific and educational center, the Belarusian-Vietnamese joint laboratory on health informatics, and Russian language courses to prepare students for entering Belarusian State University.

The visit of the delegation of Binh Duong University of Vietnam will be held as part of the agreement on cooperation signed by the two universities in March 2012.
